TARI Makutupora Centre is mandated to conduct research on grape crop at the national level to assist farmers and other grape stakeholders to increase productivity. Researchers at the Centre conduct research on grape to bring findings which address farmers’ and processors’ problem in the country. Adoptive farmers who use research findings witness that the production are increasing annually. The Centre is responsible to conduct research on value addition to minimize post-harvest losses which are common in grape fruits as a perishable crop in nature.
