My name is Herman Gerald Mkamilo, and I have been an Agricultural Officer for 10 years. I hold a BSc in General Agriculture from Sokoine University of Agriculture and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Crop Science and Technology at the University of Dar es Salaam to advance my career in agricultural and breeding technologies. My diverse experience includes working with TANSEED International Ltd as an Agricultural Field Officer, collaborating with the FAO in Tanga to enhance farmers' knowledge on upland cultivation, and participating in the Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) "RISE" project in Bukoba. Currently, I am a Research Assistant at the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) Dakawa Centre, where I conduct rice experiments, preserve rice seed germplasm, and collaborate with breeders to develop high-yield, broad-spectrum rice varieties.
