Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute

Mr. Yassin Yussufu Mashuubu is a Principal Agricultural Field Officer, with more than 30 years experience in the delivery of technical and advisory services acquired through working with Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) since 1990, as a research assistant specialized in agronomy based at  TARI Ilonga and TARI Dakawa. Such experience has been attained when Yassin was engaged in conducting research, seed production and in building capacity to newly recruited junior researchers. Also, he has been engaged in providing consultancy services, training of trainers and farmers, advisory services in Agriculture, Aquaculture and allied fields of sciences.

Yassin is graduated from The Open University of Tanzania and awarded a Bachelor degree in Life Science (Botany and Zoology) in 2011, Currently I accomplished a course work and I am on final stages of writing my Dissertation of Master of Science in Crop Science from reputable University in Sub-Saharan {Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA)} titled Influence of fertilizer combination, planting density, and variety on cassava (Manihot esculenta L.) stem yield, and profitability; Also, he is possessing a Diploma in Crop Production (DCP) and Certificate in Agriculture (CA) from MATI-Ukiriguru, and MATI Ilonga in 1995 and 1990 respectively.

Yassin is serving Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute (TARI) from Dakawa Center since August, 2022 as highly motivated agronomist. Yassin and his wife Saida blessed to have four children and three grand children. He prefer most gathering, share ideas, encourage people, reading journals, and books, watching news, sports and games either live or through Television ,Also hobbled on browsing global innovative + scientific issues from Internets and social media as well as participating on playing both volleyball and football.

Environmental + biodiversity conservation, and Food + Feed Security for all are areas of interest for Mr. Yassin.
