Fatma Suleiman Ally
holds the position of Assistant Research Scientist at the Tanzania Agricultural
Research Institute (TARI), based at Dakawa Centre. She obtained a Bachelor of
Science in Horticulture from the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in the
year 2020. She possesses extensive professional experience in the agricultural
sector, specifically in providing support for the production of horticultural
crops in both greenhouse and open-field environments. Additionally, she has
expertise in conducting youth training and offering consultancy services.
From May 2021 to
February 2023, she served as a Field Officer at Sokoine University Graduate
Entrepreneurs Cooperative (SUGECO). During her tenure, she acquired valuable
skills and knowledge in the field of agricultural extension servicesin the
areas of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), research and data collection. Since
March 2023, she has been involved in rice breeding activities at TARI Dakawa
Centre, a renowned Centre for rice research in Tanzania.
