Kobusinge Aloys Nyabwisho is an accomplished Senior Research Officer with a strong background in Bioscience Engineering (Soil Sciences & Water Resource Management). With excellent language skills in English and Kiswahili, she has contributed to the field of agricultural research. A dedicated academic, she holds a PhD from KU Leuven, Belgium, focusing on sustainable water management in Tanzania's cropped semi-arid region. She also holds an MSc—in Soil science from the University of Gent, Belgium, and a BSc in Agriculture (majoring in crop science and production), from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Tanzania. She has worked with various institutes, such as the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, Water Institute and AfricaRice Research Centre. Aloys is also an experienced consultant, having collaborated with the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) on projects aimed at enhancing agricultural production through water and soil management. She is known for her soil analysis (both field, laboratory and modelling), irrigation scheduling, and crop water productivity expertise. Her research findings have been published in reputable journals, cementing her position as a respected authority in the field. Aloys is characterized by her self-confidence, discipline, and collaborative spirit, making her an invaluable asset to any research team.
