TARI Ukiriguru multiplies
pre basic and basic cassava seeds of all the nine recently released cassava
varieties (TARICASS1, TARICASS2, TARICASS3, TARICAS4, TARICASS5, MKURANGA1,
MKUMBA, KIROBA and KIZIMBANI). Materials are generated from tissue culture in
the laboratory. Pre basic planting materials are multiplied in the screen house
through two nodes techniques before transferred to Pre-basic field
multiplication. Materials are sold as (Potted plantlets or cuttings) to Basic
Seed multipliers who sell to different commercial cassava seed producers at
