TARI Naliendele conducted Training on Good Agricultural Practices for Sesame crop to Mtwara DC Extension Officers

In order to ensure that the production of the Sesame crop becomes productive, Mtwara District Council has decided to build the capacity of its Extension Officers regarding the best cultivation of the crop.
The training was held at the TARI Naliendele center where by the national coordinator for Sesame research program Mr. Joseph Nzunda was the leading facilitator.
The experts have been able to learn various things, including field preparation, planting and other managerial activities such as fertilizer application, control of pests and diseases of the Sesame crop.
