The Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) has been collaborating with different stakeholders including higher learning institutions. The Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, Mikocheni Center (TARI Mikocheni) was visited by students from the Borigaram Agriculture Technical College with the aim of having practical training on how to produce seeds of various crops such as cassava, pineapples, bananas, potatoes, etc. using Tissue Culture Technology.
Under guidance of their teachers, the students from Borigaram Agriculture Technical College located at Kigamboni District in Dar es Salaam Region arrived at TARI Mikocheni and welcomed by the Center Manager, Dr. Fred Tairo.
Dr. Tairo explained to them very briefly on various activities carried out by the Center. In addition, Dr. Tairo said TARI Mikocheni is a Center that has been collaborating with various stakeholders including higher learning institutions i.e Colleges and Universities. Dr. Tairo concluded by encouraging students to make good use of the training opportunity as the government has also invested energy in young people.
