Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute

Tawfiq I. Mwijage is an  Agricultural Economist . Currently he is working as Agricultural research assistant and heads a Knowledge and Communication subsection under the Department of Technology Transfer and Partnership. He holds a BSc. in  Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Sokoine University of Agriculture 2012/2015.  He has accumulated robust experience of over twelve years working with Central Government, the Private sectors and the the government Agencies in the fields of agricultural Economics  and adaptive applied research for the betterment of the smallholder farmers in Tanzania and abroad. Moreover, His workings concentrated on Agricultural  projects Cost benefit Analysis, Farm management and Accounting and Farming as a business focused on value chain, Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship.

Other Current responsibilities:-

To provide proactive and sound policy analysis and advice on all economic and development agenda.

To facilitate preparation, scrutinization, implementation, consolidation and monitoring Centre Plans and Budgets

To formulate strategies and recommendations as mitigations to economic challenges existing at the Centre in order to foster socioeconomic development.

To provide advice and consultation on economic matters at the Centre.

Monitoring and evaluation of different projects and programs.

To evaluate the effectiveness of various sectorial policies and give appropriate recommendations.
