Beatrice Engles Kashando is recently working at
Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute (TARI) as Agriculture Research officer.
Graduated her master degree in the field of Nematology
at Ghent University-Belgium (2016-2018).
She has been working with different partners in the field of Nematology from field and laboratory works. She is well dedicated in identifying different nematodes and find reasonable management strategies to minimizes losses associated with nematodes in different crop in order to increase food security. In additional she has involving in identification of beneficial nematodes (entomopathogenic nematodes) as a biological control of insect pests.
She is conducted research in the field of nematology namely plant parasitic nematodes associated with sugarcane and management meansures, involved in survey and identification of potato cyst nematodes in Tanzania as lead Nematologist, identification and management of plant parasitic nematodes associated with banana in Tanzania and managing root knot nematodes associated with root and tubers crops such as Yam, Cassava and Sweet potato parasitic nematodes.
She has more than ten years experiences in research and development in Tanzania
