Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute

The Director General of the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) Today on 16/07/2024 had the opportunity to visit the TARI Maruku Center with the aim of getting to know the staff. The Manager of the TARI Maruku Center (Dr. Mpoki Shimwela), informed him various things that are happening at the center and he had the opportunity to visit experiments and research activities going on in the crops of bananas, beans, cassava, avocados, sweet potatoes and coffe.

Also as  the aim of  technology dissemination and partinership strengthening  with different stakeholders Dr. Bwana distributed 500 avocado seedlings and 1000 palm seedlings to the Kitengule prison institution and assured them that the cooperation will not end there but various plans that will be made between TARI and the prison institution

Along with other things, the Director has emphasized the employees to work diligently, efficiently and team work as a key objectives in making TARI we want to be as family in carrying out various research tasks.
