Socio - Economics and Marketing Research
Socio-economics and marketing research focus on
developing and advocating Information, marketing and policy options for
agricultural commodity value chains. It
conducts studies on the dissemination and adoption of improved technologies and analyzing the factors
affecting the adoption such as natural, physical, human, financial and social
capitals. It also undertakes socio-economics, markets and policy
research/analysis to provide evidence based advice to agricultural stakeholders
through policy briefs, formulation of new policies and/or review of existing
ones. The socio-economic research includes economic analysis, farm budget
generation, adoption and impact assessment of improved agricultural
technologies on livelihoods and the entire economy.
