Mr. Saidi Majid, the Internal Auditor from the Commission of Science and Technology (COSTECH), visited the TARI Makutupora Centre on 8th February 2024. The visitation aimed to audit the COSTECH-funded project titled Rehabilitation of Postharvest Unit Infrastructures to Enhance Value Addition Research at TARI Makutupora. This project aimed at improving grape processing infrastructures for research support, consultation, and services to grapes stakeholders in Dodoma and Tanzania. The project specifically rehabilitated the processing unit, storage, and laboratory room and equipped the processing unit (winery unit) and the laboratory. Using modern machinery funded by COSTECH, the winery unit will increase its production capacity from 600 to 7000 liters of wine using modern machinery.
